Barokah Records is participating in the first Netlabel Day ever!

Sommerhaar adalah duo Dimas A. Wibisono dan Fitrah Akbar dari Jakarta Timur. Untuk informasi, Dimas adalah pemetik gitar di sebuah unit dream pop anyar Ibukota, Gizpel, yang akan merilis EP pertamanya Agustus besok via record label paling hot Kolibri Rekords. Dan Uta, panggilan akrab Fitrah Akbar, adalah pemencet kibor di Feral Tap, kolektif elektronik pop asal Jakarta juga.
Awalnya tak pernah ada rencana untuk membikin Sommerhaar. Sommerhaar tercipta karena kebetulan. Tapi kebetulan memang terkadang menghasilkan sesuatu yang baik. “Awalnya kita mau bikin kolaborasi antara Gizpel dan Feral Tap, tapi karena yang datang seringnya cuma gue sama Uta, jadinya kita berdua dapet chemistry buat bikin musik bareng,” kata Dimas. Untuk musik mereka sendiri, mereka mengaku terinspirasi dari New Order, Spiritualized hingga Steve Reich.
Sommerhaar sendiri memainkan musik yang tak jauh dari Gizpel dan Feral Tap. Hanya saja lebih santai. Diawali dengan Time An Ending yang memabukkan, Sommerhaar mengajak kita untuk sedikit berkontemplasi. Bisa tentang apa saja: tentang hidup, asmara, keuangan, filsafat, agama, politik, atau mungkin tentang batu akik. Dan kontemplasi ini kemudian diakhiri dengan Sour Haertz yang seperti menyadarkan bahwa kita masih punya harapan dan hari esok.
Hmm. Rasanya seperti duduk dipinggir pantai, kepala masih terasa berat sehabis tinggi akibat substansi-substansi baik yang legal maupun yang ilegal, malam sudah mulai habis dan matahari sedang malu-malu untuk muncul dari balik horison: disitulah musik Sommerhaar lamat-lamat terdengar.
Semuanya terdengar manis tapi muncul sedikit melankolia disana-sini, dingin tapi menghangatkan, memabukkan tapi menyadarkan. Hmm... cobalah untuk mendengarkan Farscape et Dives ini dikamarmu, jangan lupa untuk mematikkan lampu dan pejamkan matamu.
